CES 2016: Jaybird Announces Brand New Bluetooth Earphones with Customizable Audio Presets

Posted January 12, 2016 by .Omar Correa in Audio

Our good friends (and CES Sponsor) at JayBird showed us their brand new, yet to be released, Freedom and X3 earphones. The crowning feature that caught our attention was the fact that these earphones not only work with a new app from JayBird to apply custom audio presets, but that these presets will be saved internally in the earphones. As far as I know, this feature doesn’t exist on any other earphones. There are other headphones that work in conjunction with apps that allow you to customize their sound, like the Parrot Zik, but you’re tethered to using the app on your device in order to enjoy the custom audio. These new earphones from JayBird allow you to customize the sound and then listen to audio from any device, and the earphones will keep the audio presets you applied to them. It’s pretty innovative when you think about it. We look forward to checking them out when they become available in May of this year. Hopefully they come out with an over-ear version soon.
