Smart homes is a trend that is catching on first relative to the benefits that the approach brings. With the growth of the smart devices industry such as smartphones, smart watches and tablets, the integration is bound to grow even further. Most of the functions that are controlled on the smart homes setups include the ventilation, lighting, equipment operations, heating, cooling and appliances. Using linear actuator, the system automation is possible where simple movements can be implemented with accuracy. This systems not only help with making the operations much easier but they also help with energy conservation.

There are three main elements of a smart home which include, internal network which is basically either wireless, cable or the wires interconnecting the different components. There is also the intelligent control, which is basically used for the management of the systems.
